The mosque has a dedicated team of teachers and volunteers. The minimum registration age for a child is 5.
Upon starting their mosque studies the children are first taught from the “Yassral Quran” book to familiarise them with the Arabic alphabet and word formation. At the same time they are taught basic tenants of faith. This is done through weekly assemblies, class discussions and stories. We have compiled our own study book to teach children the articles of faith and Islamic prayer.
The child progresses from class 1 to class 5. By class 5 the child should be proficient in Qur’an reading with tajweed , articles of faith , laws with regards to purity , prayer and other necessary Islamic knowledge. Annual Examinations are held followed by an award ceremony. Also a yearly report is sent to parents.
We have a dedicated Hifdh teacher to teach those children who wish to memorise the Qur’an.
The classes take place very weekday from 5PM-7PM.
There is no fixed fee per child. However the parents have to take up membership of the mosque.
